This website is run by Alex Smith, trading as Alex Mac Roofing, 5 Gray St, Elsecar, Barnsley S74 8JR. I am the data controller for the personal information you share with me. Contact: info@alexmacroofing.co.uk or 07936 755375.

When you request a quote I collect your name, phone number, postcode, and optionally your email address and a description of the job. If I survey your roof, I may take photos of the property.

I use your details only to respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare a quote, carry out the work and deal with any guarantee matters. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and performing that contract.

I do not sell your details. Enquiries may be stored in the customer management software I use to handle quotes, which processes data on my behalf. I may share information where required by law.

Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed work are kept for as long as the guarantee applies and as required for tax purposes.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how it's used, by contacting me. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
